Cream Tea Weekend

Sturminster Marshall Cream Tea Weekend. Cream Teas and delicious home made cakes after a weekend drive in the Dorset countryside? We are grateful to the Mackrell Charity for giving us a date to host a Cream Tea weekend in this lovely village.

The Old School, which has full wheelchair facilities and its’ own parking, is next door to The Red Lion public house in the centre of Sturminster Marshall.

As well as the traditional cream teas, there will also be a wide range of other cakes and bakes for you to indulge in, as well as a Tombola and craft stall. Friends, old and new, will be made very welcome so, just come on in! Anyone who would like to volunteer to help on this weekend would also be very welcome, plenty of washing up to do!

Sunday 29th July - Fundraising Bike Ride for MNDA

On 29th July, Emily Cvijan is taking to the roads of London and Surrey on her bike in the Prudential Ride London 100 and fundraising for the MNDA. Emily, the daughter in law of our former webmaster Milan, says she is honoured, if a little terrified, to be taking part and is hoping to raise as much money as possible. Emily has made a great start to her fundraising on Just Giving already and if anyone would like to donate, please go to www.justgiving.com/fundraising/emily-cvijan

The ride starts at the London Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park before going through the centre of the city and then out into the Surrey countryside. There are a few leg & lung testing hills to negotiate before the ride finishes along the crowd filled Mall.

We’ll be cheering her on!

Saturday 11 August

Summer sale at Wareham Town Hall. The Town hall is in the very centre of this lovely town and is easily accessible with public car parks close by. We will have stalls selling cakes, plants, garden produce, bric-a-brac, books, crafts, greetings cards & a tombola too so, there’s something for everyone.

Last year, news of the delicious cakes being sold soon spread around the town and by the end of the morning, not a crumb was left! So come along and see for yourself!
