East Dorset and New Forest Branch

Volunteer with us

Join our friendly team

Our Branch is run entirely by volunteers and we would be very interested in hearing from anyone who would like to get involved.

Current volunteer roles include:

Association visitors play a vital role in supporting people living with MND, their family and carers. We need more Visitors to join our friendly team providing one to one home visits, email and phone support locally. The Association provides excellent training and support for volunteers keen to help with this demanding but rewarding role.

Would you like to do something to help raise funds for care and support services for people living with MND? You could organise your own fundraising event, help at one of ours, or take part in a national event. However you get involved you’ll be helping to raise funds to support people living with MND. Contact us to get a fundraising pack or to join our friendly team organising local events.

Would you spend three minutes to forward our email campaign template to your local councillor to ensure they know about MND and understand the care and support needs of people living with MND? Campaigning is all about raising awareness amongst decision makers so they can help improve services for people living with MND. This role is very flexible and you can give a few minutes or hours a month to help promote key campaign messages.

Raising Awareness

We are always seeking help to raise awareness of the Branch and the support we offer locally so we can help more people and raise more funds to help. You could help with distributing leaflets and event flyers, giving talks in the local community, spreading news on social media, or helping to get news items in the local newspapers and on the radio.
