Involving Young People

For their brilliant achievement of involving young people in their Branch, especially for encouraging the involvement of young people who are directly affected by MND. This not only helps these young people feel that they are doing something positive but introduces the next generation of volunteers to the Association at the earliest opportunity.

Best Website

Our website is run by a plwmnd and must now be one of the best.  It contains a new opening page, a translator including an email translator, chat room, site search and incorporates our six-monthly newsletter.  It has had 1540 hits to date.

 

 

2004

Passionate Publicity

One of our gentlemen living with MND highlighted the areas around Poole town centre which were not user friendly for wheelchairs and scooters.  The Highway Inspector, Transportation Services, Borough of Poole, escorted him round the centre and agreed to put in one pair of crossings immediately and hoped to put the rest in during 2004/5.
