Kenneth Dent
Born in 1942 Ken moved from Darlington in 1968 to take up a post as a Chartered Civil Engineer with Poole Borough Council where he continued to work until 1992.
A great sports enthusiast Ken enjoyed many different disciplines and in the summer spent as much time as possible snorkelling, scuba diving and windsurfing along the Dorset Coast. There were never enough hours in the day for Ken but any spare time he had was spent in his work shop wood turning.
Oil painting was an activity that he only took up after being diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease and the two pictures displayed here are the first he ever produced. He sadly succumbed to the disease and died in 1993.
