Any old unwanted mobile phone, just the handset no charger or SIM card needed, can raise between £3 and £30 for the MNDA. Local schools and businesses are taking part in this project for us. Should you have an unwanted old mobile lying around, I bet you have, please bring it to any meeting or pass onto any committee member. They will be passed to Mike Hardy who will arrange a courier pick up. Thanks to all of you who have donated mobile phones with a special thanks to the Tax Office

On the last day of March our only and very special daughter was diagnosed with MND. She is only 46 years old and the mother of three sons aged 22, 18 and 15. We were naturally devastated as was the whole family.
Her two brothers felt that there was not a lot they could do to help on a day-to-day basis and have, therefore, decided to do the one thing that they are able to do and that is raise money towards research. They have both been accepted to join the MND trek to climb Kilimanjaro, which sets off on the 16 October this year. They are both hoping to raise at least £5,000 and to this end both have sites on www.justgiving.com
Anyone who would like to donate to this cause can log on to the site via the link underlined above and then type in Neil Hookway or Ian Hookway. We as a family would welcome any donations, however small, as I am sure would all those living with this dreadful disease.
