Alan Sulman
1903 - 2003
After completing his National Service in Aden Alan worked for BAC at Hurn Airport and later at Weybridge. While living in Bournemouth he was an active member of the Boscombe Wine Club.
When he retired he and his wife Pauline moved to the Isle of Wight. It was here he decided to follow in the footsteps of his wife and grandchildren and explore his creative talents.
He joined the U3A art group and was particularly influenced by the colourful and well-known local artist, John Fulford. Alan discovered a talent for perspective and portraits and has had his work exhibited in Newport.
He was an extremely generous man who lived life with a twinkle in his eye and he lives on through our happy memories as well as in his art work.
